Robinson Film Center’s homage to the Oscars is almost upon us. The Robbys, the gala food-and-beverage laden red carpet event is Saturday, March 26 from 7 pm until.
Robby-goers are encouraged to use movies as their guide in dressing for the event. Through RFC Executive Director Rich Hansil stresses that a James Bond-inspired black tie look is always good, so is Tina Turner’s fabulous ‘chainmail’ look from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. (Quick trivia- her dress weighed 121 pounds.)
Perhaps you’re more into khaki and whips like Harrison Ford,
or prefer to be elegantly Antebellum like Scarlett O’Hara (with a hoop skirt sure to annoy).
Whatever your choice, make it fun, and make it fashionable. The people-watching at The Robbys will take second place to the guessing of ‘who is that supposed to be??’ on Saturday night.
